BMX bikes are designed for performing various tricks and stunts, thanks to their sturdy build and maneuverability. Here are some common tricks that Mike can teach you.

  • Bunny Hop: Lift both wheels off the ground simultaneously by quickly compressing and then extending your legs.
  • Manual: Balance on the rear wheel with the front wheel elevated, using body positioning to control balance.
  • Wheelie: Lift the front wheel off the ground and ride on the rear wheel while pedaling to maintain balance.
  • Barspin: Rotate the handlebars 360 degrees while in the air or on the ground.
  • Tailwhip: Rotate the frame 360 degrees around the handlebars or seat post axis while airborne.
  • 360 (or 180) Spin: Rotate the bike 360 degrees (or 180 degrees for a half-spin) while airborne or on the ground.
  • Grinds: Slide along a surface (like a rail or ledge) with the pegs or pedals, maintaining balance and control.
  • Wall Ride: Use a wall or vertical surface to ride up and then back down, using momentum and bike control.
  • Manual to 180: Perform a manual and then rotate the bike 180 degrees while still in the manual position.
  • Tuck No-Hander: Take both hands off the handlebars while jumping or performing a trick, then grab the bars again before landing.
  • X-Up: Cross your arms and legs while rotating the handlebars 180 degrees in opposite directions.

  • Superman: Extend both legs and arms outward while in the air, mimicking the flying Superman pose.
  • No-Footed Can Can: Extend both legs outward and across the bike frame while in the air.
  • Smith Grind: Perform a grind with the front peg or pedal on a rail or ledge, while the rear wheel stays off.
  • Manual Bar Spin: Combine a manual with a barspin, spinning the handlebars while balancing on the rear wheel.
